I'm nearly done restoring an old 80s Schwinn with a step through frame, and need a new rear brake caliper. Looking online, I'm having trouble finding a brake that works, since the barrel adjuster needs to be on the bottom, and the cable adjuster on the top, to account for the fact that I'm running my rear brake cable below the caliper, instead of above, like you would with most bikes with traditional top bars.
I'm sure there's a really easy answer here, and this is possibly a very dumb question, but I just don't know what these brakes are called, or how to find them, or if there are calipers you can buy where you can switch the positions of the barrel adjuster and cable stop.
The original brake worked just fine until I stripped the threads on the cable stop, so I could just replace that part, but I wouldn't mind getting a new brake, since the old one has rusty springs and has been a real pain in the ass to adjust.
Any advice (or links) greatly appreciated!
