What a great pilot!
I really hope they keep up the speed in the following episodes and don't air stupid filler episode like Warehouse 13 and Fringe have been doing.
Damn I missed it!!!! :( :( :(
I loved that miniseries when I was a kid...

I didn't see it.....watch "biggest loser" religiously. But plan to see if its on Hulu or the torrents so I can watch it over weekend.
Yeah, hopefully they add it to Hulu soon. I'm a big fan of Fringe but what's going on? I miss new episodes.
Hulu states that episodes will be posted on Saturdays.
Good, not great. Could be a lot better. Of course if all Elizabeth Mitchel did was just stand there, I'd watch it.

Looks like SciFi Channel did well enough at resurrecting an 80's mini-series that ABC decided to follow suit.
I caught about half of the first episode last night. It was ok. The characters seemed to be building up in stereotypical manners, but it's less cheesy so far than the original (which as a kid at the time, I never caught on to).
Actually, I was intrigued enough that it's the first time I've turned the TV on to watch something specific over the air other than Jeopardy or PBS's Nature in several months.

I had high hopes for Stargate Universe, but it's been pretty much a let down.

I don't recall much of the miniseries, but I did like V last night... Not so much this episode on its own, it was a bit disjointed, but the potential for the future is there.
BTW - I agree on Fringe... started great, but has become more just strange than intriguing lately.
And trauma on the other hand, great show, but it's gonna get canceled. :(

Get a Tivo, then you can record both while watching a recording of something else (while flipping through the commercials).

i thought it was well done, i am curious though how the rest will pan out. Should be an interesting series either way.

Isn't that the one where the aliens had the strange 'harmonic' voices that sounded something like chords played on a guitar or piano? (best way I can describe it) and their appearance was a 'second skin' that hid their real bodies?. I remember that miniseries; thought it wasn't very well done and never got passed the second episode (?) where the secret of why the aliens came to earth came to Earth was revealed.
