God I hope not.....I just ordered one from Wiggle.......and I'm a fatty! (220-230 depending on weather)

How much do you weigh and what kind of riding do you do?
Steel is stonrger than ti for a given cross sectional area, so if strength or reliability are important, go with steel.

I have no particular knowledge to bring to bear here, but that does not usually stop me from spouting anyway.
So, with that in mind, I would say that the rails of the saddle are not really in the group of things I would expect a heavy rider to wreck first. Rims, axles, even handlebars (depending on how you ride).

+1. I've got two ti-railed Brooks. My weight seems to vary from about 160 to 195, depending on how serious I am about staying in shape at the time. I've got enough to worry about, I don't want to be worrying about my ti Brooks saddles.
Seriously, I don't think it's a concern.

I've been as high as 250ish and have no issues with daily use of my multiple ti-railed Brooks saddles.

Saddle rails bend and break all the time. It is a major PITA when it happens on a $200+ saddle.

If they couldn't take, say, 250lbs - there would be a warning issued on their website/literature. Or they'd be sued into the Twilight Zone. I'm sure you'll be fine. Just adjust it correctly with the proper torque.

Fatties shouldn't use ti railed saddles. I used a titanium railed saddle once and completely bent the rails. Its ti so I was able to straigten it back out easily enough, but definitely don't use ti railed saddles if you are a serious Mr. Fattypants.
I've got a box full of Ti railed saddles that have never been on any of my bikes 'cause I'd just ruin 'em. A Terry Buzz Off Fly ti saddle, a Terry Zero ti saddle.

i missed the opportunity.....there was a new green one (albeit 3 years old but never used) on cl here in Washington DC for $65..I thought that would be a good (actually GREAT) buy but i was too late and missed the buy. But thanks for the info.
