Hi all -
Apologies if this has been posted already, but I couldn't find anything in search - Anyway, I've got an older (four-pot) XT disc on the front of my trials bike, and the pad shifts around like crazy inside the caliper. I know that the brake isn't made for the repeated front-back-front force shifts from trials, but there's gotta be something I can do - I'm thinking about J-B welding a shim to the pad so It can no longer move around inside the caliper. Anybody else deal with this problem? I tried the trials forums, but no one seems to have used this specific disc brake before.
Thanks,
Jeremy

I don't run XT's, but my buddy had a set on his bike. He had a similar problem, although your's seems more pronounced.

He switched to EBC brake pads. He did this on the recommendation of another friend. Since then, no problems. Must be the shape of the pad's metal backing plate.

Don't know if that'll help, but it can't hurt as EBC pads are very good.
