I'm having trouble reconciling that photo with past shortbread experience... whats the diameter of that puppy? It looks like it would take at least 3 or 4 Noms.

Mmmm, shortbread. I agree--3-4 noms, plus a bucketful of tea. Earl Grey. Hot.
That about 10-12" across and 3/4 inch thick.
Here's the recipe:
2 cups AP flour
1/2 lb butter
1/2 cup sugar
1 heaping tablespoon cornstarch
Mix well, knead a little. Shape it on a cookie sheet and flute the edge and prick it with a fork.
1/2 hour @ 325 degrees.
Yes, that's correct. 2 sticks of butter.

My wife puts in a pound. I can tell it's December when the butter starts coming in pound blocks instead of sticks.
