Northern California - San Jose shops that carry Campy

Bikeforums.net is a forum about nothing but bikes. Our community can help you find information about hard-to-find and localized information like bicycle tours, specialties like where in your area to have your recumbent bike serviced, or what are the best bicycle tires and seats for the activities you use your bike for.
I just picked up my new frame this evening, 2010 Specialized Roubaix Pro. Stupid me didn't have my local shop order a Campy braze-on front derailleur at the same time, so now I am hoping to find one locally. Anyone know of a shop fairly local to downtown San Jose that carries a decent stock of Campy parts? Just hoping to get this build so i can ride it this weekend. If I need to order so be it, i can wait. Thanks in advance...

since FD are not tightly indexed, you can probably use a non-campy FD if you have one lying around.

Shaw's Lightweight Cycles (http://www.shawscycles.com/mission.html). Old school shop but may have what you need. The last time I was there, they have that Campagnolo Pro-Shop sign on the door.
If you are willing to travel a bit, Palo Alto Bicycles (http://www.paloaltobicycles.com/) and Velo Tech near the Palo Alto Caltrain station have a bunch of new Campagnolo stuff.
What model of FD, exactly, do you need? There seem to be someone selling from Menlo Park, on craigslist, that has a bunch of new parts at UK prices.

If fastev is not interested I will pm you tomorrow.
Thanks everyone, that gives me a few places to go. Mainly looking for a '09 Centaur double to match the rest of my group.
gpelpel, thanks for the offer; bigbossman, it's all yours.
Too bad it's not a 34.9 clamp. I have a brand new '09 Centaur sitting around. I'm so disgusted with the new lever design, it never made it to my carbon bike which was going to go from old lever to new style.

If all else fails, there's Ebay. I'd bet there are at least 20 Campy FDs on there right now.

I think Bici Bike in S. San Jose (Cottle Rd.) carries Campy parts.

Really?! I so much prefer the new levers to the old. I am ordering a second set for this build so I can leave the '09 levers on my old bike.
I bought the alloy Centaurs last year right when they first became available. The downshifting on the right lever is too shimanoesque compared to the way the old design work with the G springs. I tolerated it until the shifting began to take a turn for the worse. The same thing has happened with the black alloy Veloce 2009 levers on another bike. They have been taken apart and put back together at Slough's and still have shifting issues. I'll miss the superman position and the braking from the hoods but that is secondary to the basics of a working lever that up and down shifts correctly.

I've got a braze-on 2009 Centaur FD if you want it; lightly used. I'm in SF though. PM me.
