All the neighbours are letting off their fireworks tonight. I didn't bother to buy any since all the fun things like rockets have been banned because of idiots.

I also couldn't be bothered biking down to the beach to watch the big display on a pier.

We don't tend to have the bonfires or Guys here. Early November is late spring; a bit dry and windy for massive bonfires.

Do you still do teh "penny for the Guy"?

I was able to attend a Guy Fawkes celebration in Lewes (England) in 1991. It was awesome! There was a great parade with bands, costumes, torches, etc, followed by a nice roaring bonfire out in a field.
