Although it seems to be designed for tubeless wheels, Lennard Zinn says he's used it in standard clinchers and tubes. (http://velonews.com/article/99811/technical-qa-with-lennard-zinn---it-s-all-about-the-tires)

Has anyone in BFCX Land used it? The goatheads have been brutal this fall in NorCal and I'm wondering what you all think.

Or just use Stan's, which you can pick up at your local shop. I've used it in tubes before, it's much easier if your tubes have removable cores. Use the little squirt bottle.

Now I get why I keep seeing removable core tubes. I was getting annoyed that when I tried to top off my tires, I'd unscrew the core itself and deflate the whole thing.

Could you explain this a bit more? I'm racing clinchers. No pinch flats yet, but it would be nice ot have a little insurance.

stans will have a hard time on pinch flats as it relies on the centrifugal force to push the latex to the hole, and you will not get very good coverage on a pinch flat as it is not in the middle of the tube.

caffelatex should theoretically work better for pinch flats as it has an inherent structure that no other sealant has

removable valve cores just make it easy to get sealant into a tube. Conti tubes have removable valve cores

I'm not convinced the foaming action of Caffelatex would do any better than simple Stan's on sidewall punctures (0:30 into the vid):

I would ask what pressure he is using to get that sealing action on the sidewall without shaking the tire

of the times I have gotten sidewall cuts with stans I have to try and shake the tire side to side to get a seal going, if I can get one going.
