It's a weird day already......I can tell.

Good = Friday!!!!

Bad = Woke up about 330am and was unable to get back to sleep. Ended up coming to work about 1 1/2 hours early.

Good = Can leave early too...not to mention 1/2 day today. I should be able to go home by about 10am.

Good = My five year old came in and snuggled up in the crook of my arm and I snuggled him for the rest of the night.

Bad = Did not want to get out of bed this AM. He is such a little snuggle bug and I know that I do not have many more years of him wanting to do this.

Bad - I also woke at 3:30 and couldn't returnt o sleep - what's up with that??? Struggling with the time change I guess.

Bad - logged onto BF to find out people are sick or hurting... never good to hear about that.

Good - looks like we are finally going to have Fall weather so this weekend can't wait to get out and ride. Tonight, my snugglebuddy and I are going to our favorite japanese place for dinner - always a good thing!

My mother woke me up at 2:30 when she was coming home from work, she was yapping on her CELLPHONE. I fell back asleep though.

Good - I woke up this morning and realized that I'm still around to enjoy this life.

Bad - Realized that I will be working today with the most negative, bitter, and selfish person I have ever met.

Good - Remembered that my life situations do not have me going into work feeling negative, bitter, and selfish.

Good- I woke up this morning on the green side of the grass.
Bad- I still have a bad job and I`m still fighting with my GF.

Good = change is coming here.
Bad = people are putting all their effort into making up stuff and I am supposed to go along with it, but I refuse.
Good = the change is win-win-win for me.

I have an answer for your bad... is what you are fighting about really worth the effort. Simply just stop even if that means you concede to make peace. Life is full of compromises like dealing with a bad job... you probably make alot of concessions every day at work, just extend it to home.

*Note corrected spelling error I noticed in Siu's post.

Bad: I haven't adjusted to the timechange yet! I keep getting up at 5-5:30 instead of 6.
Good: Going home early to receive my new bike from the UPS dude.
Bad: Stupid commuter bike keeps throwing the chain. 1x9 is not the best drivetrain config.
Weird: I almost hit a hawk on the way to work this morning, and then he almost hit me.

Good advice, Pam.

I try to think of it as: How would this situation affect me 2 years from now? Will I even remember it then?

On the subject of the bad job: My next door neighbor (and best friend) and I bought our houses almost at the same time, two months apart. Over the years we've paid our mortgages, done some home improvements and compared our taxes. She got laid off in March, her husband in May. I didn't. She just lost her house because of lack of funds and had to move out in the beginning of Oct. I just paid mine off. Imagine how close she was to home ownership. All those years of payments and nothing. Absolutely nothing. And nobody will rent to them because of bad credit.

So every night when I come home from what can be considered a bad day at work, I have to look at her cold and empty, weed overgrown house.

And I am thankful. I have a job.

Oh Siu so sorry for your friend... I hear stories like this every day. By the grace of God I have a job and a roof over my head but I could be just as close to losing everything as the next person. Puts things in perspective... no matter how crappy a day at work I have, I have a job... keep saying that, I have a job...

to Pamestique and Siu Bleu Wind.

I know that relationships require a buttload of compromises, but I demand monogamy(unless she`s bringing home a woman for us to both enjoy).

Bad: I woke up with a sore neck
Bad: I gritted my teeth until they hurt real bad.
Bad: I ate some pizza and it gave me some bad indigestion.
Good: I went home and worked on my old Raleigh Super Record. It will be ready to roll again tomorrow.
Good: That really relaxed me.
Good: A nice long nap took care of the sour stomach.
Good: I feel better and am Fooing.

Bad: couldn't sleep last night. Anxiety about small stuff. I think I managed to let it go today, especially since the outcome isn't really important.
Good: Got to have lunch with my daughter and wife today. We don't get together for lunch often, so that was nice.
Good: Nearly have Chorus 11 installed on my PedalForce. Waiting on a front derailleur warranty replacement (see Bad above), should be here on Wed.
Good: The kids are playing together nicely for a change. No arguing or fighting today. Amazing!

Good - I woke up 3:30 this morning (no bull****!) and realized that I never (cross my fingers.) have to go to work again! :thumb:

Bad - Realized that I nay not get back to sleep.

Good - Remembered that my life has delt me more good hands than bad and I shouldn't complain about not being able to fall back to sleep.

Bad: Not NR. SunTour. Super Record was what Raleigh called it oddly. :slap:

Good: I did put a Campy chain ring on it.

bad=started coming down with a cold last night and woke up in the middle of the night with a bad sore throat--got out of bed and gargled.
bad=couldn't/didn't ride in the morning because didn't sleep well last night, cold made me feel hammered, so I missed one of my commuting days.
good=cold didn't get worse during work today.
good=too tired to give my students any weekend homework. They were heartbroken (yeah, right).
good=went out after work and *socialized* with some colleagues, which I usually don't do--why talk to real people when I can log on to BF? :thumb:

All in all, a good week.
