Had a minor crash on Saturday where the most damage was a sheared off head badge courtesy of Ksyrium’s bladed spokes:D Anyways, the tape got a little roughed up underneath the top of the bar and my hands have almost worn through the section right behind the hoods. I’m a little reluctant to replace the tape since I hate the feel of all the cork, foam, and synthetic stuff. To the point, does anyone know what sort of tape Giant uses on their bikes? It came with Giant brand bar plugs and Giant brand end tape (whatever you call the stuff that finishes off the tape near the stem). I called the shop where I bought the bike from and they don’t know what it is, the only thing I have to go on is that it’s thin, slick looking, very rubbery/tacky, and seems pretty cheap. If anyone knows where I can buy this stuff I would greatly appreciate it.
