Hey guys,

Here are some photos of my Stumpjumper FSR Expert that I've been enjoying for slightly over a week now. It's such a sweet bike - the frame, the suspension, the brakes, everything is just right!

I had the shop immediately swap the riser bar for a flat bar, and the clipless for some cheap flats (didn't want to learn to get used to clipless at the Minnesing trails (http://www.bikeforums.net/showthread.php?t=60010)). The original pedals are going back on soon though..

Sweet. I drooled over the Stumpy FSR and a couple other bikes for most of this spring...then the bills for school came in. Ride hard for me.

You suck. Seriously. My cheap-ass hardtail and I hate you.

It is extra fast because of the red paint!

Are you sure you want that flat? I rode a flat on my 94 Rockhopper for 10 years and then bought an 03 Stumpjumper FSR Comp with a riser. At first I thought it was lame and uncomfortable, but now I love it. I actually bought a Easton carbon flat right when I bought it ... but it on after having used the riser for a few rides ... then decided to sell the carbon flat.

Give the riser a shot .. they're great.

I believe Fox will have a rear shock called the "RP3" for 2005 that works just like the Triad. Speaking of which it's great - each mode is very distinct and has it's own use.

My old bike had a riser on it and I didn't like it. A riser bar feels way too wide for me. I always end up keeping my hands on the brake lever clamps, rather than on the grips with the riser.

I'm not exactly 3 feet wide, so that's why a flat bar works better for me.

Ummm...why couldn't you cut the bars down? Not that it matter really but are you flats narrower than like 12 inches?
