It gets windy here in South Florida this time of year. Decided to take my Zox 20 lowracer clone for a spin in 20mph winds this morning. It was nice and comfy down there riding against the wind while uprights were struggling with the wind up there. One DF rider I encountered asked me while waiting at a traffic light, is that thing rig? I said no just superion aerodynamics. I felt I definitively had the advantage in this windy condition today.
If you see pic attached notice palm tree in background.
Any of you out there riding lowracers care to share your experiences riding in the wind.

just finished building my baron-esque lowracer, and compared to my highracer its without a doubt better.

Yep, lowracers definitely do better in wind. I was out today on my NoCom. Winds WSW at 13-23 mph. Not exactly windy, but a bit gusty at least. No problem maintaining a decent pace, even into the wind. Earlier this summer, I was with the 'normally 20 mph' group on a windy day. They turned into the wind and hunkered down to 16 mph, but I did the whole stretch at 21-22 mph and had to wait for them at the next turn.

Windspeed is lower closer to the ground, but I don't think I've ever ridden my VK2 on a windy day to compare.
