Hey all you crazy fixies...
I'm working on getting a reverse 360 down. and it's tough. i haven't crashed yet, but the best I can do is usually 180/270 backwards before losing balance. any zen tips on riding a bike backwards? my trackstands are pretty good, but i almost always do them with the front wheel facing to the left, either foot position, but
left forwards is favored. it seems more comfortable to me to try it seated, is that better? and does gearing play any significant role? I'm 48x17, which is nice for city riding, but a little high to stop quickly without using the brake and without putting what feels like excessive stress on my knees by skidding hard. Oh, and I've been practicing with my feet on the underside of my pedals - no clips
thanks - ben
