Any body else get a chance to run today? It was a little cold at 6:30am, but by 8:30 the weather was awsome. I started a simple ride down the bayou and ended up riding 75 miles around town.

rode out to george bush park yesterday, very nice day for it. Water on pathway got up to my bottom bracket on the trail at one section. Halfway back I realized that my wheels had taken in quite a bit of water, you could hear it sloshing around and see it seeping out of the spoke eyelets. Drained about a cup of water out of each wheel when I got home and feet looked like rasins.

I ended up riding too. It was a gorgeous 40 miles. I actually overdressed after so many cold weekends and ended up with my arm and leg warmers in my jersey pockets. :thumb:

I was also out at George Bush in my ride. The trail I guess into the park from I10 was horrible. Once the path went under water, I turned around. It took a while for my socks and back of my jersey to dry off. When it drys out I would like to revisit that park. Does it go all the way to Katy?

Sounds like some fellow BF's also enjoyed riding yesterday.

I almost hit up George Bush/Terry Hershey, but decided to head west out to Brookshire instead. Perfect day, just wish I had more time so I could ride longer than 25mi <or more leg to do it faster :D >.

Sounds to me like you're ready for that first century.

Yeamac - I getting there. I am getting back on the bike after a 1.5 month absence. I would like to be in shape to ride a century in December - before year end, my personal goal.
