Please put out foo prayers and mojo for my dog sascha. She was just hit by a car. I
I'm in the animanl hospital now. She was hit and slid along for sev feet. She's Alert and her back seems be ok. Poss broke leg or concussion


She slipped out door and ran to me but I was on mower. She the. Turned and ran out into street

It appears she's ok. She's standing and alert accdg to the tech. Now they ae going to xray for innternal bruising and check for scleral scratches. Thank God.

Vet came out... Said she's a very lucky dog. Getting xrays now just to be sure.

She's home asleep and pretty darn good shape for getting run over. Thank God that she didn't tangle with the tires.

That cute little size is prob what saved her from a worse fate! a bigger dog would have prob been hurt much worse! Good for her being so tiny! :thumb:

She's doing fine now. Pain pills are making her sleepy.

You're right, ILB. I think she was just tumbled over.

I saw it happen, and I screamed like a little girl. I'm going to have nightmares tonight, I know it. The poor guy who ran over her was really shook up too. I hope he comes by so I can show her to him. I told him I knew it wasn't his fault. I keep my bikes in shed and have to pull them out to get the mower out. As I hopped in the car to race to the animal hospital, I asked him to help me and put my bikes away. He did. Nice young guy.

So we went to Medvet (http://www.medvet-cves.com). It's a full service animal hospital here in town and happens to be the Mayo Clinic of Animal Hospitals. It's open 24/7. They saved my other Pom when she ate a poisoned mouse. It cost a hamburger short of $400. I'd have paid any amount.

I look at her now and just can't believe she just got a scuff.

awww she's a widdo baybeh doggie :( Glad she's turning out ok there!!! I had my 9 lb doggie hit manny years ago - truck went down the wintery icey street and he hit something - turned out my doggie who strayed from me for a freaking moment - and he said he literally thought it was a brown paper bag on the street - turns out it was my dog.

And as it turned out - she just got facial cuts on her too - as she rolled under neath the guy's truck several times - yep she was greasy and had a boo boo but man alive I was glad she was around.

Man, that's scarey to even hear about! I'm glad your dog is okay. Let her rest in a nice dark quiet corner of the house where she can still see what's going on around her. Being a Pom, she'll be up and around in no time.
