Cyclocross - Tire source?

Bikeforums.net is a forum about nothing but bikes. Our community can help you find information about hard-to-find and localized information like bicycle tours, specialties like where in your area to have your recumbent bike serviced, or what are the best bicycle tires and seats for the activities you use your bike for.

Looking for a good 26 x 1.25 tire for a MTB conversion. Someone recommended the Schwalbe CX Pro but the common retail outlets don't have stock. Anyone have any experience with the smaller distributors like everybiketire.com etc.? Don't want to wait 3 weeks to find out they don't have it either. I tend to lean towards the bigger outlets.
Any ideas? (or other tire recommendations?)
Thanks,
GP
I believe you can order that directly from Schwalbe in North America. I've never done it, so there may be some wrinkle I'm not aware of, but they show in-stock/out-of-stock status and that one's in stock.

Another option is to go to your LBS and get them to order it from Schwalbe.
There's a Bike Forum member named Kojak who works for Schwalbe North America. PM him if you have any trouble.

www.universalcycles.com (http://www.universalcycles.com) has them. never bought Schwalbes but I've bought from UC
Very good store, fast responce, sharp staff. I've ideas for other brands but just ideas so I'll not rec. 'em. The tire you've in mind is highly regarded.

Great thanks. Ordered direct. Not sure why I did not see that as an option.
