I just got an Ouzo Pro fork to upgrade my old steel frame. It's a 1" steerer, and now I need to get a headset, so I'm thinking maybe Cane Creek S-2. My newbie question is: the fork (used) did not come with the Reynolds Compression Plug. Do I need to buy the Reynolds Compression Plug, or does one come with the S-2 headset that will work with the carbon steerer?
Thanks!! - RJ

Thanks!! - RJThreadless HS often come with a star nut which shouldn't be used with a CF steerer. Aftermarket compression bungs are availael, but the one that comes with the ouzo pro is a good design. Also check the USE: Ring-Go-Star.

Thanks sydney. I've also heard FSA makes a plug that's supposed to work with carbon steerers. Anyone know if the FSA Compression Plug works with an Ouzo Pro? It's certainly less expensive than the Reynolds. Is the Reynolds a much better design that warrants the extra $15 or so?

The FSA plug is an excellent item, works with all carbon steerers.

Thanks Feldman! I see airbomb's got one for $10, and they price-matched pricepoints $29.98 for the Cane Creek S-2, looks like I might be set up without too much of a hit on the wallet.
Thanks again! - RJ
