New was around 550 and at that price was well worth it. It's pristine, even if it wasn't it could get 3 to 4, maybe 250 on a bad day OR if it's a 61 or 64cm size.
Tall bikes are plentiful and for others reasons sell slowly and for less. I've observed and exp. all this. Tourers are the type of bike that command more than their racy counterparts. New ideas of racyness have changed alot, folks like'm 'cause they're appealing and quaint, subjective reasons. Other times with road bikes, racier ones, the frame's desireable to fit modern stuff. Not so with tourers; old offerings ussually are appreciated for what they are. Gold standards were set some twenty years ago.
Somber colors such as yours, presumably are highly sought after just as your bike is.
To me, having so little miles is well worth a premium, well beyond what I've stated.
Members here at the forum have spent more for lesser touring bikes of late.

Me, I'm just moving this thread from Introductions to Classic & Vintage Value Appraisals. Carry on... and welcome to the Forums, striperco.
