I really hope they wrap it up or at least re-pave the right lane by tomorrow. I didn't enjoy hearing constant horn for half a block because I chose to ride in paved left lane instead of demolished full of gravel right lane. Yep, this elder "gentlemen" couldn't wait to turn in to a freaken shopping mall half a block a head. If I wasn't damn tired and wasn't in a hurry to get back so I can go to S.F. I probably would have turned there also to have a conversation with him. Although I know it would have been useless and just usual B.S. "get off the road", "you can't ride on a road", "I KNOW the law", blah, blah, blah. :rolleyes:

Yeah, that really ruined my ride over to the start yesterday. Looked like they were doing that on both sides of Homestead ... all I knew is that it sucked big time! :mad:

I might just take Hollebeck from homestead to get to Foothill, and come back the same way.
Fortunately. my commute is on Mary Avenue so I only have to cross over Homestead.
However, I did have the opportunity to yell at another cyclist heading east on Homestead this morning to remind him that there IS a red light at this intersection and that he WAS a jerk. It made me feel better as I was waiting to make a left-hand turn from Homestead-Eastbound onto Mary-Northbound. :)

It starts a block or two east of Hollenbeck. I wound up on Homestead by accident on Sunday and Hollenbeck was my bailout path.

Yeah, I discovered they extended it to day. I think I will be taking DeAnza to Fremont before that.

Holy crow, you guys weren't kidding. I was riding on Homestead this (actually, yesterday) morning and thought my teeth were going to fall out before I made it to Hollenbeck and turned right. I didn't want to find out how far the construction extended after that and rode on Fremont instead.
At least I got a chuckle when I was on one of the sidestreets and saw a caution sign that read "Speeding Tickets Available Ahead."
