which is your natural body type, ecto or endo?

I weighed 138 on my wedding day, twenty five years ago. My waist was 27 and inseam 30. My jacket size was 32R. Fast foward to today. I weigh 220, waist 39, inseam might be a little shorter since I wear my pants lower nowadays. My jacket has ballooned to 46R. Have I always been an endomorph in disguise?

maybe you were a twiggy type that filled out. you didn't mention your height that would tell alot.

myself, I am 6'3",weighed 245 in high school, went down to 185 in college and have fluctuated between 225 and 240 forever.

You might have a medical issue, endocrinologist.

Otherwise you are eating to much. In particular avoid sports drinks, bars, ect unless you are actually a pro athlete. Consider a nutritionist.

In 1992 I was 180 and 6' tall at the age of 23 and now I am 40 and weigh 230ish and am still 6'.

I just cut sugar, refined, out of my diet and the weight is coming off.

Just a thought.

In 1990 I was 6'2" and 120lbs 30" waist. I have hit over 300 and was down to 240 but I'm back to 280 still at 6'2" but with a 46-48" waist.

I'm 5'7" and was 123# on my wedding day 23 years ago. That was probably a little too thin but I wanted to fit in my mom's wedding dress ;) During the next 15 years, I got up to say 145# but the last 10 have been killers...up to 215#

I think a lot has to do with years of too much overtime, travel, eating 'on the go' and little time exercise. I've changed professions and am now trying to re-establish some healthy habits.

Metabolism slows as we age. Mine came to an emergency stop. I was diagnosed with Hypothyroidism about ten years ago.

For the first 30 or so years of my life I could, and did, eat anything in site. I ate large quantities of everything and remained quite thin. Then my Thyroid took a dump and everything changed, except for my eating habits.

It's taking me quite some time to change a lifetime eating style/habit.

When I graduated high school, I was 5'10" tall and weighed about 150 or 155 lbs. People guessed I weighed 130 lbs.

I'm 48 years old now and have shrunken to 5'9". I'm 180 lbs, and people guess I weigh 150 lbs. I look skinny, and I carry my weight in my thighs and tush. I guess I'm doing well since the over-guesses are now 30 lbs, when they used to be 20 lbs.

Some of my weight gain has been good. My shoulder and chest bones have grown. I am not fat, and my shirt and jacket sizes have gone up by two. I suspect my bones have become more dense, too.

Also, some of the weight gain we all experience is also cartilage. It would be a bad idea to aim for our high school weights.

I weighed between 205 and 215 in my early twenties. I had a 36" flat footed vertical. I was constantly struggling to put on weight so I wouldn't get pushed around in the post.

Now I'm closer to 400lbs than I care to admit. I'll bet I couldn't elevate 6" now.

After some quick internet research.... "endo-meso". I can build muscle rather quickly, especially for a woman, and can also pack on the fat pounds. Strong German peasant type meets late-night stress eater.

...you'll be thin again in your 60's! It's just logical :D

Last summer, I started riding more, not by much. But it was enough to make difference. I gained 5 lbs, and my waist size went down. So it was a good gain. I might have lost 5 lbs of fat and gained some muscle. Well, wait a minute, I can't claim to have gained 10 lbs of muscle, so I don't know how, exactly, it worked out, but I was heavier and thinner.

And there's a fourth for some of us, masso. :)
