Foo - What is Wrong With Kids These Days?

Bikeforums.net is a forum about nothing but bikes. Our community can help you find information about hard-to-find and localized information like bicycle tours, specialties like where in your area to have your recumbent bike serviced, or what are the best bicycle tires and seats for the activities you use your bike for.
This video (http://media.ebaumsworld.com/index.php?e=snowtow.wmv) just reminded me of a couple High School aged kids i watched a couple weeks ago. They had a flat out in front on my work and it took two High School aged kids the better part of the afternoon to get the wheel taken off.
They were jacking on the plastic part of the car etc. Doesn't anyone teach these males anything any more? THis is scary!!!
its because mommy and daddy are too busy to "****" with their kids. gowd. don't they know what tow hooks are? and how do you get a tire off a car wheel? i thought you just had to sit there a pry it off.. which is difficult and why they have spares.
oh. you mean getting the wheel off. that is sad... baffling even.

hehe... nice video!!
Can't you just hear the conversion later, "Hey Dad, I need your credit card 'cause my car had an accident... "
Junior knows how to play video games, pimp his ride with crap items from Auto Zone, watch sports on the tube endlessly & get his girl pregnant... but has his head up his a&& when it comes to common sense. Welcome to America!!

There isn't a damned thing wrong with kids these days. Comparatively, anyway. There has always been an odd mix of geniuses, morons, etc. When you were a kid, you were surrounded by idiots as well.

Once a week when I was a kid, they bussed me to a special school with all of the other geniuses.
I still felt like I was surrounded by idiots. Especially the teachers.
Now I'm old enough to drink, which pretty much puts me on a level footing with them, and keeps me from wanting to kill them...

Nope, full sized bus. A lot of times I didn't bother going to regular school those days though, just walked to the special one. That school was closer to my house than the regular one...
That's where I first got to learn how to program computers.... Gotta love turtle paint on a Commodor(sp?) 64...

Oh yea that does take me back. I think we used apple machines in my high school and with consistent begging I got my parents to buy me a trs80 for Christmas with a tape drive. A few months later we 'upgraded' it to a 5 1/4 drive. I learned Basic and Pascal in high school but mostly I learned how to write malicious code and pirate stuff :) I wish I still had the trash80. A friend of mine had one of those modems that you stuck the phone into. I think the only thing you could do with it was to dial into the local university. But we had high hopes of breaking into darpa.net and starting a war game :)

What's wrong with these "adults" these days -- they'll watch kids try to take off a tire and offer no help, just snicker.
That being said the vid was hilarious. The number one reason why you should never let anyone else (except qualified tow truck guys) hook your car up for a tow--- or do it for someone else, you don't wanna get blamed when that POS breaks.

:roflmao: They weren't the brightest bulbs in the pack, were they :roflmao: I'm sure the parents were thrilled with that act of stupidity. :)
