There's this woman at my work place that always has to brush her hair. I mean ALWAYS. She will whip that brush out every 20 mins or so, with the explanation that if she doesn't it gets ratty and she wants to make sure she looks good.

Good LORD, woman!! We work in a WAREHOUSE!!

Anyway ~

Despite everyone's efforts to advise her that she shouldn't be doing that, (especially because we work with produce) she continues to brush brush brush.

So one day our boss said to her, "Hey! You know when you do that your hair keeps coming out and falling all over the place right?" "Ummm, yeah that sucks, why?"
"Because you know that the ends of your hair follicles are connected to your brain cells, right?"
"WHAT??!!??"
She stood there completely still.
"Yeah so when ever you brush like that and your hair is falling on the floor, you are losing your brain cells."
And I just HAD to add in as I was passing, "Don't step on your brain!!" :p
She stood there and alternately looked at her brush then at the fallen hair with her mouth wide open as if in shock.

That is a great story Siu.

I have blamed my hairline on one of our programmers, as my fingers and thumb just about fit if I place an open palm on my forehead.

My mother, planning to marry He-Who-Shall-Not-Be-Named.

Luckily it didn't end up happening, but......

My dad who remarried (a few years ago) after my mom died decided (new wife was pushing him) to retire early even though he basically has no savings. The next step was to move from a Florida cost of living to an area close to Boston (much higher COL) and live in his new wife's daughter's basement.

problem 1: You have no savings to retire on
problem 2: How long do you really think living in stepdaughter's basement will last?
problem 3: How will you afford to live in Boston with no savings and a budget/retirement from Florida's COL?

Luckily, that is about the time my brother announced his girlfriend was pregnant and my dad was getting his first "real" grandbaby. It seemed enough to keep him in Florida thankfully. The clincher? 6 months or so after they decided to stay in Florida, the step daughter decided to move back down to Florida too, so there would have went their "free" home.

You know, I have my wife's old Canon S1IS right behind me for new bike pics and could totally do it... if not for the lack of a CF reader in my office. Maybe a cell phone pic.

CF reader? Just plug usb cable in to camera...the camera IS the CF card reader.

Don't have the right cable either... I never carry the digital camera cables and always use a reader at home. But I do have the microUSB for my cell phone so I can charge it!

And don't laugh at the hair, I'm due for a haircut this week.

Yeah, one of our programmers commented on my hairline and I told her it was because of her making me put my hand to my forehead in frustration all the time. And she bought it!

I guess it depends on the way the place is set up....I don't deal with any sys admins too often. ( Thankfully ;) )
