I was thinking of heading up Little Tujunga and doing some kind of loop to Sierra Hwy and heading back to Foothill. I have a few questions about Little Tujunga however as it's been 100 years since I've been on it and hoping someone can help. I would be doing this Sunday morning and just trying to get some descent climbing in as the Angeles Crest mountains is still closed.

1) Is Little Tujunga Open?
2) How is LT road as far as conditions go?
3) Traffic?

Any opinions on this would be helpful.

thanks!

I rode LT last week and it's in good shape. I can tell you that on a Monday, traffic is non-existent, but I don't know about weekends. I'm speculating, but it seems unlikely that the squid brigade would hit LT since it's rife with switchbacks.

I took Placerita Cyn from LT to Sierra. Placerita's pavement has some subtle ripples in it that always make me think I have a flat, but it's okay.

Little T on weekends, early morning (say 8-9am)? No traffic at all. After that I dunno--never ridden it outside those times. :D
