Recreational & Family - I need a trailer cover

I was lucky enough to get my hands on a BEll 2 kid trailer but without the rain/snow/wind/cold cover. I looked to source on on e-bay and through the OEM but no luck. If any one has one laying around or a good work around please let me know!!

I wish I knew of a tried and true work around but I do not. Very few trailer manufacturers offer replacement fabric. For instance, Burley previously did offer replacements if you were dogged enough to get a dealer to track down how to make the order, but the cost was pretty darn close to the cost of a new trailer. This was a number of years ago when I tried that route so they may be different now. I see from their website that they offer covers under "Kits and Accessories". But I imagine it would be pretty expensive and more legwork than you might think to get a full replacement fabric.

If you don't have any responses, I'd try someone local. Preferably an outdoor repair person. There are not many of them around but will be good at working on packs, tents and cases. They would have the types of material you would be interested in using on the cover (maybe not the clear plastic though). Ask around at your local outdoor outfitters, not the shops that sell to the walking around town set but the shops that cater to kayakers, mountaineers, serious backpackers and rock climbers. I.e., A shop that is not there to just sell a product line but caters to the hobbyists. Second option would be a seamstress/reupholsterer. Another option would be to ask around a professional equipment supplier. A place that would cater to EMS/Fire/Police/Utility/Arbor type work. I have never tried that route but you get some pretty handy folks that can do durable custom soft goods work. I wouldn't expect it to be cheap though. I wouldn't be surprised if it were $100, maybe more. Set your budget before asking around. If you can't meet it, sell the trailer and move on with more knowledge about the next one you might purchase.

Oh, it's by no means a lost cause. Worst case scenario I can haul the dog or groceries in it and the Boy in nicer weather. I was just hoping to be able to get the parts I need and have ONE good, serviceable trailer.

I bought an Instep trailer about 8 years ago off e-bat without a cover. My wife called Instep and they sent us one for $35. Customer service was very helpful.

Maybe they will have a cover similar to yours.
