i was just wondering about riding on your front pegs....does it help you work on balance? i mean standing on your front pegs but opposite of the bar hop position.....ill show pics when i get them....its hard to explain

It definitely helps if you flatland to learn the balance. When you go into stuff like hang-5s and hitchhikers, that it the same type of position you are in, so you want to be comfortable steering that way and having your weight on the pegs.

Cool thanks........Do you know of anyway to help with this? My friend cant get it down and he always wonders why I can go untill the bike stops, and is there a trick where you put your hands on the pegs leaning over the handle bars with your feet up in the air? Kinda like a nourie stand or whatever it is but your rolling on your handlebars.

at bmxtrix.com, in the track stand, it mentions about how some people have a natural balance and some people have to work at it, hes just one of the unlucky few that has to put more time into it and practice it more

I tried what you are talking about a good 16 years ago... not sure if there is really any name for the trick and I was just messing around, never took that trick to seriously. There are lots of tricks that I did 10+ years ago that were just variations of the basics. There are TONS of variations out there that don't have names and nowadays people just say what the different tricks are in order, instead of calling them a new trick.
