Bikeforums.net is a forum about nothing but bikes. Our community can help you find information about hard-to-find and localized information like bicycle tours, specialties like where in your area to have your recumbent bike serviced, or what are the best bicycle tires and seats for the activities you use your bike for.

A crank-puller.
A crank-puller.Assuming it does not have self extractors.

For a laugh when taking apart the obligatory 'long forgotten bike you find in the box room' I tried to pull the cranks off by hand, it's a nice exercise in agression and futility. Suffice to say the crank puller worked fine.
For some reason I liked the though of tying a horse to each crank and letting them try and pull them off, sort of like the classic magdeburg hemisphere demonstration.

Just when I was thinking the world had forgotten the veritable Guericke's Magdeburg Hemishpere demonstration, up it jumps! Damn, life is good.
Some other people remember too!

Sheesh who could forget?
Fun things to do with a vacuum pump....
exercise horses (see above)
make huge popcorn
dehydrate food
make really bad tea with cold but boiling water ( R.I.P. Douglas Adams )
Now this is a prime example of a thread gone completely off-topic!
