I am looking at buying the Garmin 500 bicycle device and would like to know the experiences people have had with the device.
I am looking for something I can use with all my bikes(4) and not have to worry about set up and get some accumulative data.
How reliable are the units? Any problems?
What is the experienced run time from a battery charge?
How long does it take to charge the battery?
Has anyone used a battery pack/USB device to recharge the 500 battery?
I have a Vista, Vista HCX, and a Forerunner 305 now. The Forerunner 305 is OK for what I want except the read out is small and the battery life has diminished to around 4 hours now. I don't need or want a heart rate monitor either.
