I'm looking to buy a new (to me) frame and came across this in my area, I have a sentimental affinity for Gitanes and I certainly appreciate the Campy headset and the reynolds 531.
When he says "with 700c wheels" I'm not sure if he means it comes with or if its just fitted, probably just fitted I asked and am awaiting his reply.
Thanks

looks to be worth a look if you're tallish.
old and new

Can't see it not being designed for 700s. You ought to be taller than 6'1" as the seller suggests, 6'2" long legged or taller I est. That's a fair deal for that frame. A particularly nice color, not in bad shape. Those frames were winners.
I am surprised it is still available. Must be the XL frame size that is keeping it from a quick sale. Compared to other crap we normally see at inflated prices in Portland, this is a decent/good deal, as long as you have ready access to parts to finish the bike.

It seems like an OK price......maybe even lower than what it would go for on ebay.
'with 700c wheels' means he measured the standover height with 700X23's? versus fitting the bike with 27's and measuring standover.

If nothing else pops up between now and tomorrow when I'm going to take a look and depending on the condition i'll probably just grab it, worst comes to worst I can probably build it up and sell it to a friend of mine who would definatly apreciate the bike but doesn't posses the know-how to build it up.
Quick Question, am I going to need a french stem for this frame? Is anything on this gonna be french threaded?

I am not sure on this one, but I would assume bb and headset will be french threaded, and stem will be french sized. Make sure existing bb is OK, as that will take care of the biggest headache.
