Bikeforums.net is a forum about nothing but bikes. Our community can help you find information about hard-to-find and localized information like bicycle tours, specialties like where in your area to have your recumbent bike serviced, or what are the best bicycle tires and seats for the activities you use your bike for.

8 stars for being surprisingly beautiful.
3 stars for being so stingy about services.
1 star for being 2 and 3 hours ahead of all my friends.
9 stars for the kids (withholding the last star because of the insane amount of fear about them...)
10 stars for being able to curl up with my SO every night and not having to worry about how long its going to be until I leave.

There are so many pictures I have taken around the country, and so many facts I could list which could refute that. But you're from Colorado. How the hell could you think Michigan is 8 out of 10 for scenery? :wtf:

Ah, see, that's the trick... I didn't give it 8 out of 10 for scenery, but for the surprising scenery... I was expecting something much less than this. While it's certainly no CO, it is beautiful in it's own right.
The trees freak me out. I'm not used to trees...

I have relatives in Rockford. I like to stay as far away from that places as possible.
Maybe my problem is I'm viewing MI through the eyes of someone who grew up here and wants to show me her state. I'm tainted by love, as it were. ;)

Last time I was passing through I gassed up in St Louis, and drove straight through while pacing a trucker going 5 under. Had to piss pretty bad when I got to Indiana.

Maybe if I'm just going through the north end......
But actually, I could bring a friend and take the long way from El Paso to Oklahoma in a pickup so long as I had no rear window to facilitate climbing into and out of the bed, which would have to have about 60 gallons of canned gas in it, as well as snacks and toilet paper. :thumb:

Spoken as only someone who has driven across Texas could speak........

I stopped a few times, but I drove from Jackson, MS to...
1st day - Azle, TX
2nd day - Albuquerque, NM
3rd day - Needles, CA
3 1/2 day - Sacramento, CA
In a 1981 Buick Skylark. I did this in April 2007, when I moved out here.
