I posted a detailed message about upgrading my 1991 Eddy Merckx and a picture of the finished bike in the Introduction forum when I joined yesterday. Another member suggested I also post the picture in this forum. I've added a second view too. I'm 5'-7" and 152 lbs., so the lightweight steel of Reynolds 753 was perfect for me in 1991 and remains so today, even in comparison to carbon, although I dream about the same frame made in Reynolds 953. Pity Merckx no longer works in steel and I see nothing special about his carbon frames. I think the company reached its zenith in the early '90s. High Res images available if you want a closer look. Hope you enjoy. Comments welcome.

It's a custom frame combining elements of his standard Century, Corsa, and Grand Prix frames: Reynolds 753 tubing, Century geometry, and Team Weinmannn colors. Eddy himself gave permission for it to be made when Dong (from the Denver Spoke, through whom I ordered the frame) met with him at the LA bike show.
