My beloved Neuvation M-28 finally said "enough is enough" after two long, hard years of service.

I e-mailed Neuvation, and they have already sent me out a new wheel under warranty :thumb:

Nice that they're quick on response, and 2 years is a pretty good amount of time if you're a) a larger rider in this forum and b) putting a lot of hard miles on a wheel.

The only thing that disturbs me is how it failed: Flange break. Yikes.
I've seen one other quality hub (not some cheap tarck trick hub) which broke at the flange/shell. It was an ultralight model from DT Swiss which cracked along the flange/shell right between 2 spokes.

Yeah. This is the first time I've seen this on anything but generic, no-name hubs.

But, at least they are replacing it no questions asked...

They had an issue. I have a ride partner whose hub (same wheels) broke in the same manner. He contacted the mainman (I don't remember his name) and found there was a problem with the wheels. Yeah, they replaced it but they did have an issue with the wheels.

Partner has since switched wheelsets.:D

Well, if I could afford a new set of wheels, I'd get one. Without a job, I'm doing good to save up enough money to get a few clif bars for my rides...
