What frames was he riding? It looked like he was on the old tried and true 5900 OCLV 110 frame most of the time. Am I correct?

i'm not sure but i think it's the new carbon 55 frame. i think so because the new 55 doesn't have aero tubes like the madone.

g'day,

didn't he climb on the new Madone SL?.....this is the one with the 5900 rear 'stapled' to the Madone 5.9 front?. I didn't notice the madone 5.9 at all during the tour,

cheers,

Hitchy

I don't think he rode the SSL for the time trial, but instead stuck with the SL. I never really understood the point of the SSL as there is a weight limit that is easily achived on any of the modern racing frames. At least he didn't do what the CSC guys did and put on heavier wheels
