It isn't really cold here yet. Low 40's when I have been running and my hands are getting cold, but my problem is that I sweat a lot and it gets to my hands. Usually I don't run with gloves, but I need to if I am going to run outside and not be a treadmill monkey. I want to run outside in the fresh air, but my hands are not agreeing with me.

Is there such thing as a "Runners glove"? Maybe I should just buy some cheapy lightweight gloves that can be washed quite often. I have always gone indoors when the weather gets colder, but I am enjoying the fresh air.

Any help would be greatly appreciated.

Wool... they come relatively cheap.

Wool liners are a good choice, probably $15 at your local outdoor store (REI, etc.)
Or just the cheap cotton stretch knit gloves work well for me as well.

I bought a pair of these (Pearl Izumi Ultra-Lite Liner Glove) a couple of years ago and I like them a lot.

Cheap polypro liners work well. They wick moisture so you don't get wet and clammy when you start to warm up. You can get "no brand" liners at almost any sporting goods store.

I asked my wife to look while shopping with her mother and our two daughters in the city about an hour away. I will see what she brings home and go from there. I was thinking about my winter dirt bike gloves, but one of them is missing, so that won't do me any good.

Thanks for the replies.

Nike makes running gloves, they're a soft microfiber, feel great wipe sweat off and keep the cold from killing your hands.

They're $5-10 at the nike outlets here in san diego.
