I've been trying to learn japanese from anime... it's not working that well...

Yeah....not the best way to learn Japanese. Fun, though. If you're serious about it and can't or don't want to take a class, the next best thing is the Rosetta Stone software.

I know what the rosetta stone is (that's how they figured out hirogliphics {sp** right?) but know nothing of the software. I keep meaning to borrow stuff from my sister in law who took Japanese in college, but never get around to it...

Golden Boy 2 has just been added to my queue on netflix...

It's behind a couple of DVDs of Lain... I have the whole series off of the internet, looking to see if DVDs are any different... I really liked Noir too, need to see if I can get that off of there.

A guy at work has the stuff to copy DVDs, so I think I'll be looking for more and more stuff... I'm going to have him make me a copy of Quicksilver already - need to see if he can cut the scene where all the messengers are playing around on their fixies, riding them backwards or as unicycles/etc. I kind of want to put that online...

it's not a tv show, it's a movie. i came across it last year, but never got around to importing the dvd. looks like it'd be cool.

Do any of you remember the short lived TV series "Double Rush" or something like that. It was about messengers. Spike Jonze did the openning titles. David Arquette was in it.

I remember that show. I checked and there's a VCD of this up on eBay right now. yesasia.com also stocks it. I might have to pick up a copy...

I'd have to ride a lot faster to get that job, I think... Maybe get a brake so I don't kill myself.

Also, the difference between what I make now and what I'd get as a messenger more than makes up for the the $$$ on rentals...
