Bikeforums.net is a forum about nothing but bikes. Our community can help you find information about hard-to-find and localized information like bicycle tours, specialties like where in your area to have your recumbent bike serviced, or what are the best bicycle tires and seats for the activities you use your bike for.
Can someone tell me about my bike and how much I might get for it? The frame is in perfect condition.. barely a scratch. Shimano 105 brakes, downtube shifters, hubs, Nitto B115 handlebar & stem. Frame is Made in japan w/ Ishiwata EXO quadruple-butted tubing. Thanks
It's similar to the one shown

I was thinking about putting a post like this up, but was worried i'd be labeled a spammer. I can see the slippery slope just ahead...
I'd say $300 give or take. For some reason the prices on my local craigslist for older bikes have gone through the roof, but none of the stuff seems to be selling. I think people are beginning to forget the difference between "old" and "vintage."

I agree with that, all of it. The 700c wheels and geometry that goes with it, along with it being a very good bike of course and a cool color scheme , gets it out of the two hundred dollar catagory. You can try selling it now and if you can't get what... wait 'till EARLY spring.
You may even change your mind by then. It'll feels better to get what you want, not just about the money, it's the satisfaction. I like the looks of that bike and it's a popular size.

Forgot to add that Maruishi, though a rep. builder, is lesser known than many. they made bikes for other Co.s, Shogun is one ex. neither brand was well known to me, having lived in the N.E US for most of my life. EXO is more modern than some Ishi. tubing which were used somewhat later as well. NOT a cheap tubeset.
Your bike seems to be an '87 -on. It could be as late as a '91 or so. I'm not expert on the brand. Fuji was using Ishi on some models here an' there 'till the tube Co. went under. '91s had different type stems so I'm so not sure but I lean early.
