Road Cycling - I decided (and paid) I pick bike up Friday morning

Bikeforums.net is a forum about nothing but bikes. Our community can help you find information about hard-to-find and localized information like bicycle tours, specialties like where in your area to have your recumbent bike serviced, or what are the best bicycle tires and seats for the activities you use your bike for.
I'm really excited, after all the thought etc; that went into this decision over the last few weeks I finally compromised with myself. I pick the bike up Friday, I work in the afternoon but I'm gonna take it for a quick boot in the morning.
Colnago Rapid (2004) - MADE IN ITALY (unless the frame lies :) All aluminum with flash fork
10spd Veloce group
Campagnolo Zonda wheelset
Look or Campagnolo pedals (I think he's putting on look since he's throwing them in but I might bug for campy ones anyway :)
Bike as said above (in the black/yellow scheme).
I'll post pictures, now all I need to do is get road shoes ( I want specialized comp's because the mtn version fits me like a glove...but the place I got the bike doesn't sell specialized so I said I'd try on the ones they had before buying specialized ones...I'm not a fan of there bikes but there last on the shoes just fits so well...do any other shoes that anyone knows of fit the same?)
I also need to get a computer, nice wireless one that does cadence so I don't mess up my beautiful bike with messy wiring...If I wanted that I'd of gone with Shimano hehe.
Anyway I'll post pics Friday after work (before work I'll be busy riding :)

congrats chad :)
you may want to check out the nike hautacam. i'm not sure about the last (i'm B/B+ width foot with a semi high instep), but they're on closeout in many stores for $100 and are comparable to many high end shoes from what i have seen. cf sole, spd/spd-r/look compatible, extremely light.
good luck :)

Nice ride buddy you'll be very happy indeed! BTW I just sold my Record profit pedals and bought some Look Cx6's. Once clipped in the Campy pedals were great but they can be difficult to click into. Just something to think about before you seal the deal.

I have these m505's and I always thought 2-sided mtn bike pedals would be the easiest thing to get into...well I now don't think so. My friends Looks on his 15 year old Miele were MUCH easier to get into and out of ! (something to think about in traffic I know...) I just want to have all campagnolo :( I'm a bit of a fashion geek at times...wouldn't know it if you looked at me though LOL.
But seriously, I worked for Nike for 2 years. They didn't have that model when I worked there but there biking shoes are too narrow for me, I'm about E width...depending on the last a big D. (heh). But anyway the specialized comp's fit like a glove...I'm hoping he has some SIDI's to try or something he was going to order me nilini (I think I spelt that wrong) but they wont fit I don't think. He mentioned shimano's...which I don't want, and I tried before (pre-campy days :) and I didn't like how they fit..pinched a little.
Thanks for the replies..I'll have pics Friday for sure (at the latest Friday night...don't know if I'll have time to snap a few before work :)
Anyone else have these wheels? Were they worth the extra cash over the Mavic Open pro's? 1660 for medium dished aero spoked rims ? (with large campagnolo lettering lol )

Pictures speak louder than words.

I put pics of my new shoes, pics of my bike and pics of my old bike and shoes.
The only thing I didn't take pics of that I wanted to was my wheel bags and my new tools (with the colnago pouch) and if you look closely I'm wearing colnago gloves :P
My matching jersey shorts will be in in a week or so.
