Foo - Other Forums?

Bikeforums.net is a forum about nothing but bikes. Our community can help you find information about hard-to-find and localized information like bicycle tours, specialties like where in your area to have your recumbent bike serviced, or what are the best bicycle tires and seats for the activities you use your bike for.

Anyone here belong to any other forums for another hobby/way of life/profession?

I joined a forum for photography. Its great to have a place to learn more about photography, and read posts from pros, but it certainly doesn't seem to compare to Bike Forums and it definitely doesn’t have the camaraderie of Foo. Nor does it have a jsharr equivalent. However, there is someone with Data's monkey avatar.

it is amazing how many people hang out at a forum with some sort of social stigma.

I just signed up for signs101.com as it's relevant to my work. Unfortunately most of the posters are...how do I say this? Not very charitable towards women or immigrants. Ugh.

I used to be a part of a computer forum that got fairly big, then it totally went to the crapper. There was an offshoot forum started that I still go to and frequent. It's not much of a computer forum....more like a private "buddy" forum as nearly all of us there are buds from the previous computer forum.

Then there is a greyhound owner forum I go to now and then, but don't frequent it that much.

On occasion I'll hop onto random message boards to glean info that I might need or research something, but generally, I don't post on them unless it's to ask a question that I didn't see answered earlier.

That sounds like what happened to a computer forum I used to frequent. Leoville.
