I started out in a spinning class, and LOVED it...so I logically took the next step and bought a road bike. Best purchase I ever made. Bianchi Volpe...love her. Not like the sewing machine that collects dust in the closet or the yet to be played guitar that sits beside it. Suppose I should eventually learn how to play it...oh well, I'm too busy riding my bike now!! I have been riding outdoors since June of 2003 and this year I have discovered the joys of rallies!! I have participated in 5 rallies this year including Goatneck just last Saturday. Holy Hills!!! Of course Peach Pedal was pretty wicked too! I am training to ride the Hotter then Hell Hundred in August (or as the local Wichita Falls residents call it the dumber then dirt). Some people just don't get it. "If I had to explain it to you...you wouldn't understand." So that's why I'm here...to get with folks who do understand. I love to talk shop so feel free to message me or whatever. Beware, I'm liable to yack your ear off...a bit chatty. "Talks too much" grade school report card...flash backs!! Anywhoo...cycle on friends.

Welcome to the forums! From a former roadie who has now gone 'bent (recumbent). Just couldn't stand to ride the 'ol road bike any more. Although our bikes may be vastly different they do have 2 wheels and get us from point A to point B in comfort and style! I've just joined a local "old timers" cycle club and am hoping to go on a few evening rides. This is on top of my 18 mile commute home from work. Again Welcome to the forums!
