Particulars:
Tire - 700x35 Richey Speedmax clincher
My weight - 195
Coarse - grass, mud (farmers pasture)

Where do I start. I'm a roadie and would pump my tires up to the 120lb maximum and then some. Tires on the Cx have a max 75lbs pressure.

Thanks

40 psi in the back, maybe 38 in the front. That should be pretty pinch proof. If you want to go smoother/fast and chance a flat run 32-35

Do your first practice lap at 45 psi and adjust up or down from there. Gotta get a feel for it yourself. I don't have experience with that tire but I weigh close to you and always start with 45 psi. I have found I can run far less in a clincher than I thought I could. YMMV.

opposite here...i'm a mtbiker used to the low psi....but it was still different. i ran at 40 on both ends...so, that is close to the general recommendation...but i'm only 150+...

just check your own experience and see what the experienced folks here continue to add.

start at 40 and go lower as needed on the pre-ride.

I weigh 185 and usually run around 32 psi on clinchers. I haven't pinch-flatted yet in 12 races, but I have bottomed out a couple of times, so I've probably just gotten lucky. Today's course is supposed to be pretty rocky, so I'm going to go up closer to 40.

I went with 45lbs on the pre-ride and stuck with that for the race. Probably will go down to 40 next race to give it a try. The 45 lbs saved my bacon on the first lap. We had a teeter-tooter on the coarse and hit it WAAYYYYY to fast. Flew over it and was lucky not to pinch flat when I finally landed. Can't wait for the next race
