Now that I have the 10 speed Dura Ace, I couldn't prevent myself from buying a Flight Deck to go with it.

The features of the Flight Deck are excellent, but the one problem I have is the buttons in the brake hoods. I seem to press them constantly on both sides, because during the ride the display changes every time I look down and the time and distance meters are constantly being switched on an off. It is very frustrating. During pretty much any ride where you are gripping the bars and hoods in a variety of positions - mostly unconsciously - I just can't see any way of not pushing those buttons. Have any Flight Deck owners figured out how to do this?

I hear this complaint a lot. I guess I'm the weird alien with odd hands or grip pattern because I never have had this problem.

I sometimes have this problem, I look down and see that the trip counter has stopped (who knows when?) and or it's flipped over to the second set of menus.

Even still, it's my favorite computer so far. I really like the shift indicators. I only wish it had a backlight for low light conditions and maybe a way to lock the display so you couldn't mess it up. Still compared to other brands I've used...this is the best IMO. :)

I would love to see Shimano and Campy license out their shifter interface. It'd be nice to be able to buy a computer from other manufacturers that work with the integrated shift sensors and hood control buttons. Wouldn't it be neat to have a Cateye (yes, I know they actually manufacture the Campy ErgoBrain), Vetta or Polar computer work with the shifters? I really like the new Cateye computers for instance.

If it had heart rate funtions, it would then be the undisputed king of bike computers.

Yup. Me neither.
