So the time has come for me to transition my life to a Mac. Of course, one of the things I'm looking forward to is using Ascent as my ride tracking toy. On my PC I used Sporttracks, as well as logging my rides through MotionBased/GarminConnect and GTC.

Does anyone know how I can import my old rides into Ascent from any of these platforms (esp. SportTracks)?

thanks in advance.

Can't help you much with that one, because I've always been a Mac man and I've used Ascent since if first came out. The developer of Ascent is very accessible and I'm sure he could help if you contacted him. I'm also sure you will be very happy with the switch.

Thanks Kerlenbach. I'm sure I'll be happy with the switch too (PC to Mac) it's a no brainer. I haven't had enough time to play with Ascent yet, but I've heard good things. Having said that, I was quite liking SportTracks, but it was time for the the PC to go.

I ditched Garmin's desktop app in favor of Ascent about two years ago. I have been very happy with it. I would definitely contact the developer and see what he thinks the most painless migration strategy would be.

Also, I've recently discovered RunSaturday.com and have been having fun with it as a web-based component analogous to GarminConnect.

You can import your activity files individually, but that might take some time. Post your question on the Ascent forums (http://montebellosoftware.com/ascent_forum/index.php?sid=d7046510a704bb90564f10bb600e325c).
