1080 i on a VholdR is pretty nice.
the bike forums user 'Joeybike' uses a non HD camera from VholdR for his videos i believe.
2010 should be the year to switch to 1080i; Go2Pro is also issuing a high-def camera, i'm unclear if it's 720 or 1080i.
There are nice handheld 1080i High Def pocket video cameras on the market now for a $150 bucks or so.
2010 is a year to upgrade!

the Go2pro sports helmet cam is soon to be on the market with HD 1080i rez. i suspect the price will be under 200 but haven't seen retail price yet.
2010 is the year 1080i busts wide open at a great price point; the pocket handhelds will be a great deal for a cyclephotographer looking to supplement their helmet cam footage with some handeld footage, the prices for 1080i camera are very good, offering amazing resolution quality.
