Foo - Ordered a few tickets off of the internet...question?

I have a fairly important question here. I just ordered some tickets off of a website for a Minus The Bear show in PA. I live in NY. I ordered them and the only option was "will call" so I clicked it. And now they're sold out. That's only part of my problem.
I ordered them with my credit card, and in a rush because they were sold out one second and back the next, then sold out again, I put the wrong city on my billing address for my credit card. Everything else was correct, the state, zip code, name, #, everything. But the city was not. I even received a confirmation number from the website saying that I had purchased them. When I called my credit card company, they said that the order was "pending." I'm really, really worried now, but I don't know if it went through or not.
Any help and/or advice here?

Why were they sold out one minute and back the next? Were they having problems with their server or was this occurring because people were not completing their transactions before the timer expired? (I'm assuming carts stay "full" for 15-30 minutes)
I had a similar problem when I tried to sign up for classes at a convention this past summer. The server crashed when it received 30,000 hits. One minute it said all classes were sold out, then the next minute it said classes were 10-30% full. The server was unbelievably overloaded. I received a confirmation email from paypal saying that my account had been charged but did not receive a similar email from the organization whose classes I was signing up for. I sent out an email and received a reply that said if my card was charged (which it had been) then I was fine. In a rush, I went through the registration process twice, thinking the first time that I had screwed up and had lost the items in my cart. Turns out I was double-registered, but I got my money back easily enough.
If you are worried about the transaction having a status of "pending", just call the show's contact person during business hours tomorrow. A "pending" transaction doesn't necessarily mean there is a problem. If the show is doing batch processing, then they may obtain approval for but not actual charge the customer's card except at specific times during the day. I do a similar thing for one of my side ventures where I use virtual terminal at shows and farmer's markets. I enter the customers credit card and contact info and obtain approval, but I run all the transactions in batch mode at the end of the day. That gives me the flexibility to change anything if say, a customer comes back during the show to make an exchange or return something. I've never actually had this happen, but it would certainly save me a lot of administrative overhead.
Yeah I understand. I don't think it's because they were overloaded because it was from the site ticketweb, and they were selling tickets for other minus the bear shows at different venues. It seemed a little sketchy cause I couldn't buy two tickets at once because they were "sold out", because I needed two, but I purchased one twice and it counted as two after, and now they're sold out again, so I don't think that's the case. I mean I did just order it tonight, so I understand that it's pending still, I'm just really nervous right now because I REALLY wanna go to this.
I mean, all I have to bring to the will call desk is the credit card and my photo ID and my confirmation email. I wonder if they're going to check if the credit card payment went through at the desk or just see if it matches everything. I'd hate to get denied entrance coming 230 miles out.

when is the show? I'm assuming you can call them in the morning to clear this up before you make the drive.
It's on the 20th, so yes I could definitely call them. Also calling the credit card company to see if the payment went through. I always thought credit cards went by zip code and nothing else. I just don't see why it would go through AND send me a confirmation email if it didn't go through. I read that "if you get a confirmation email, your card has been charged."
