Is Manning a football god, or what?
Best QB in the game by far. He's making people forget John Elway.
I miss the real Colts

As a born and bred Baltimore kid that's a sight that will always be in memory.
My favorite team is whoever is playing the Colts.

Actually, if I were a masochist, I'd wander into a bar when the Redwings are on and tell them what I learned as an Av's fan.

I concur that Manning is one of the best ever, however... Faulk had the ball at least to the 30 on that fourth down play (That spot was horrible).... and that pass interference call on the preceding drive - guess "Homer" was the officiating crew chief last night. :twitchy:

yesterday was a bad day for me
Indy won. My sundays end up very happy when philly and pitts win, and when dallas and indy suck wind.
This definitely hasn't been a good football year for me.

Mixing sports, I would add the Maloofs to that mix (and Stern, the NBA Commissioner). They're trying to blackmail the taxpayers of metro Sacramento to pay for a *new* arena when the paint is still barely dry on Arco. Screw 'em; these billionaires can build their own sandbox, and if its not in Sacramento, no biggie. Its not like the Kings have tradition like the Celtics or Lakers or Rockets. Who wants to pay bokuu dollars for nosebleed seats to watch a bunch of overpaid underacheivers play badly when the average playground game in the park behind my house is *far* more entertaining (and moreover, FREE)?

He didn't have possession for it to be forward progress. I thought spot was right on.
As for Belichick's decision to gamble - what an arrogant d-bag. Glad it got shoved right down his throat.

I think he went for it because he knew his defense was already done.

Watched every minute of that game with my father last night. I live in New England but there is no doubt Manning is one tough hick. Brady's a cutie but Manning seems to be getting it done far more often in the last several years. My dad says Brady's wife and lifestyle are killing his career. Maybe, but I think that idiot New England coach going for it on his own 28 with 2 minutes left has something to do with the team's lack of success. Bill must be losing his mind.

That would be incorrect. I thought the OP was going to tell me how to get one of these: (except as a 1 or 2 year old they are much less expensive)

My mother has said "All men are the same, you just screw different heads on them to tell them apart."
That game was the worst! (Speaking as a Patriots fan...)
But I have to admin - Payton Manning is an incredible player.
He had it right at the line - even taking the very brief bobble into account.
I have to agree- I think they botched the spot. It should've been a first down.
Although Belichick shouldn't have put us in that position to begin with. That game ended with some really odd decisions.

I agree- sometimes I think the refs will 'adjust' the game from time to time. I think you see it in the NBA as well.

Maybe someone from Green Bay can explain why their fans boo Farve. He wanted to stay but GB got rid of him. He's not angry; just wanted to play more.

me = a stone's throw south of GB
His flipflopping on retiring got to be too much. Packer management bent over backward for this prima donna. Meanwhile, Rodgers was patiently waiting his turn on the bench....a 1st round draft pick who has obviously panned out well. And to go to a division rival only rubs salt in the wound which was obviously his intent all along. Don't get me wrong, I still like watching him play. I just wish it were for a team outside the NFC North. Many fans despise Ted Thompson (Packer GM) for letting him go but I do not. The current situation has only one man to blame. And he's wearing purple and white.
Oh, and the Packers would still stink this year with Favre. The Viqueens are doing very well because of AP and their stout defense, not just because of #4.
Now back to the Colts...the loss of Bob Sanders is gonna haunt them in the playoffs.

OprahNew England was getting 3pts on the vegas line, so those bad calls that helped Indy win the game, still didn't help Colts fans against the point spread.
with that said, I think the NFL wanted the Colts to beat the Patriots(why else would they schedule the Patriots in Indy 4 years in a row).

Probably for the same reason that the Packers were scheduled to play the Cowboys 8 out of 10 times in Arlington throughout the 90's. Three of those were playoffs but still...WTH! NFL scheduling coincidence my ass.
I remember Roger Staubach.
