Out west. Get in touch with Wayne Simon - he motor paces out that way. MJH2 would be able to tell you where he last saw Wayne motorpacing.

In November? What are you peaking for?

ha, not peaking. just trying to build a heavy base for next race season. just started racing at the end of last season with less than stellar results

You don't need a motor for that. Ride lots, motor pacing should be used to get to the pointiest part of your race peak.

understood, i was kind of thinking that if i was forced the draft at the speed of the car or bike, which i would set above my normal pace, that would be benefitial to eke out a higher top end and get used to sprint to the draft finding it, recovering, repeat

It's also for building a good base for TTing, breakaways and criteriums.

Looking at Google Maps for where you live, I'd just head south and get into the country away from traffic, that's the biggest hurdle. You don't want folks scrambling to get around you because you're `only` going 30mph. I've got some great memories from moto rpacing sessions and there were a few hair raising moments as well. "Yeah, take that road, I know where it goes, it will be great!" :thumb: which turned out to be over a rickety bridge, then suddenly onto gravel and a dead end at 25mph! A punch of the gas and a hand brake turn kept the rider from riding into the back seat. :twitchy: Then there were the sheriffs and hollering at the driver: 'where are you taking me you murderer!' (through Holy Hill for those who know that area).

Good times! :p
