I live in Winnipeg aka winter-peg and we don't even have any snow yet ... in fact the high for today is +12c and the long term forecast doesn't have any white stuff in the future right up to Dec 1 .... WTF ?

We did our first snow ride on Sunday. We got almost to the top of Mt Spokane when we turned around because it's hard to pedal up through 8 inches of powder. But descending through the powder rocked! Video recap here:

You just need to move about 900 miles to the southwest. Denver has already had one major storm (14" to 31") and a couple of minor ones.

Snow has fallen in Maine, but it's still to warm for it to stick. Should be a few more weeks before we're socked in for the season.

We had snow a couple of times in October, but it's been washed away by rains in the valley. However, temps at higher elevations are remaining cold enough for the precipitation to be snow, not rain. So, you don't have to go very far to get to snow.
