Shimano is Sora, Tiagra, 105, Ultegra, Dura Ace, i am thinking of campy instead of shimano and i want the best Campy. How does it go with Campy?

The most expensive set is the Record.

Looks alright but if you want the best get record...the carbon fibre is way to cool if you got the coin for it :)

It's a good deal and cambria is OK to deal with and they take returns, but they are often out of stock of stuff so you end up waiting several weeks pretty often. Sometimes the price is worth the wait but if you're in a hurry check their stock before you order. Also check out repartocorse.com.

Oh, and one more thing, see if you can get them to replace the Campy chain with a Wipperman Connex. Campy chains require an expensive special tool and I don't think they can be removed and remounted once they've been closed. Wippermans use a master link like SRAMs.

I'm a little leary yet of the durability of all the carbon fiber bits on the higher end Campy stuff. Time will tell.

I got mine this year at
http://txcyclesport.com/Merchant2/merchant.mvc?Screen=PROD&Store_Code=M&Product_Code=CA-CCG-10&Category_Code=chorus
Had it all in stock and in my hand with in the week after ordering.

Record is the best but if you look at quality for the coin go with chorus realy is the on to compare to dura-ace

G'day,

agree, especially when you see some pro's choosing chorus over record in some of the 'rougher' races, like Roubaix....that's gotta be saying something about records durability, (& before y'all get on my case...yes I am a DA rider!)....but the facts is the facts,

cheers,

It's a real good deal. However, like a previous poster alluded to, sometimes they are out of stock of some items and they will make you wait. I once tried to order a Thomson Stem/Seatpost from them. I waited 3 weeks and never got it. Everytime I called 'em, they gave me a different story. You might have better luck though. Another place to check out is GVH Bikes. His prices are comparable and he will allow you to do substitutions.
