Hi all,

I have a mountain bike that I use for single track trails, but I was wondering if you thought this would be a good bike for rail-trails and around the neighborhood. It's a Giant Acapulco, not sure of the year, for $50. I was going to put slicker tires on it. I'm not sure how good the condition of the bike is, but for the money, it might be hard to go wrong (unless it's junk).
I'm 6' and 215#.

Thanks for your time.

It's a good old style non-susp. bike. I have a dinky one for small gals or kids. A mid level but good steel model. Can't wrong with that price. Might have twist-shift which is handy. The bike listed is a 22" it seems, a good size for you. A little on the large size for ultra-technical off-road I guess, even for a tall dude like you.
For mostly road, it's the perfect sized. Trails too of course. The long top tube is nice to stretch-out on. I don't off-road much at all. If I did, I would need a 16.5 -18" dep. on what's sold. Maybe smaller. Using on pave, larger is better, for me a 19-20.
Buy it.

Thanks for the info. Just wondering, how do you know it's a 22" and do you think it's very heavy. Thanks
