Hello to the bikeforums.net community,
I am pretty new to the biking world and I seriously want to build my project fixie/SS bike. I need some advice on how to paint my frame and fork along with purchasing some new/used parts for the bottom half of the bike. The parts of the bike that I have are the frame, fork, headset, stem, handlebars, clamp, seat post, and the saddle,
Well, I am going to receive a CAAD 7 R1000 frame and fork. I was wondering if their are any experienced Aluminum bike painters that can guide me step by step on how it should be done. I've read that painting aluminum bikes require more steps and better handling so please, any tips or prior experience would be most appreciated.
Secondly, I need the bottom half of the parts for my bike. I need a set of wheels(tires, rims, and flip flop hub), crank, pedals, chain, skewers, riser handlebars and anything else that I didn't include from what I've stated above. Any parts for sale or suggestions? I'm looking to buy above-average parts that either stand out, have durability, or both.
