and lost quite a lot of vision in my left eye. The eye seems to be clearing up, but I have this killer headache...
If you have never had this problem before, GO TO THE HOSPITAL!!!
by lost - do you mean no vision, or just blurry? yes, maybe go to the ER, just to be safe!

Like, when I wiggled my fingers anywhere more than about 25 degrees outside my line of sight, I couldn't see them.
Everything is better now. I was overly tired and just finished a long nap.

You need to see a doctor. Stat. And probably get a MRI of your head.
This is nothing to screw with.

Actually, a CT scan would be of higher specificity. The one "Bad" thing this could be is a spontaneous subarachnoid hemmorhage. CT shows fresh blood far better than MRI.
Certainly this "could" be a complicated migraine. BUT, most 30 y/o males don't suddenly develop migraines. Especially with a neurologic change. I guess if you ask this question in FOO, you expect foolish responses.

Oh yeah, that totally wasn't meant to be a question. Just an old man complaint. :P
